Our Beer

The Big Newton Imperial Brown Ale

7% ABV | 32 IBU

Appearance mesmerizes with a deep dark brown hue and a dark tan billowy head,
special addition of figs not only adds a seductive nature but a wild twist on the brown ale, a style that is quite obscure these hop head days.

Patio Pale Ale

5% ABV | 32 IBU
American Pale Ales are light in color, ranging from golden to a light copper color. The style of this beer is defined by the American hops used. American hops typically have high bitterness and aroma. This is a perfect beer for big fare like grilled burgers or combination pizzas, as well as lighter fare like sushi and green salads.

Corn Star

5% ABV | 22 IBU
Cream Ales, spawned from the American light lager style, are brewed as an ale. 55 lbs of flaked corn was used to lighten the body. Pale straw to pale gold color, low hop bittering and some hop aroma. Well carbonated and well attenuated.

Rediculous Red Ale

6.7% ABV | 33 IBU
A classic red ale, true to style, exquisitely balanced, base and caramelized crystal malts are the canvas for the beautiful deep mahogany hue and toasty finish, Simcoe and Golding hops balance the sweet malt backbone with a light fruity flavor.

Evergreen IPA

6.5% ABV | 55 IBU
This well balanced American style IPA is a reincarnation of the English version bumped up to NW Style, pale golden to reddish amber in color, aggressively dry hopped to provide big herbal and citrus notes. Amarillo, Cascade, Nugget, Simcoe.

Transporter Porter

5.6% ABV | 34 IBU
The name is an inspiration from the porter style which was developed for London transportation workers in the 1700’s. A rich combination of light and dark colored barley, including wheat malt, adds to the complex flavor profile. Mildly hopped with Simcoe and Goldings, compliment this robust style.

Seasonal Beer

My Favorite Marzen

5.8% ABV | 21 IBU

This lager style beer originating in Germany available in the spring (Marzen meaning March). Festival versions consumed in October. Light and smooth using European malts and noble hops. Prost!

Last of the Mosaics IPA

6.3% ABV  |  60 IBU
American IPA, well balanced, clean and clear. This IPA was brewed with all Mosaic hops the fruity hop variety that changed craft beer. Developed by Hop Breeding Company and released in 2012, Mosaic® Brand HBC 369 contains high alpha content and features a unique and complex aroma profile that translates favorably into a variety of beer styles. It is a daughter of Simcoe® Brand YCR 14 and a Nugget derived male. Mosaic® is named in honor of the artistic assortment of aromas and flavors it is capable of presenting.

Gettin Lucky Lager

4.8% ABV  |  9 IBU
Vienna Lager, crisp, clean and clear. Lager is a style of beer originating from the Austrian Empire that is conditioned at low temperatures. Vienna lagers originated in Europe, but were “exiled” to Mexico in the last century. These “little Oktoberfests” are great everyday beers that showcase the flavor of Vienna malt. The beer is characterized by malty aroma and slight malt sweetness.

CoCo The Gorilla

6.2% ABV  |  56 IBU
A word play on the famous primate. Robust porter style ale using a myriad of barley and wheat grains blended with an unmistakable coconut aroma and flavor.

3 States Away-IPA

6% ABV | 65 IBUU
Classic American style IPA. Maris Otter English two row is the base malt for this orange tinged golden beer. This barley imparts a rich slightly nutty flavor. Aggressively dry hopped to provide big herbal and citrus notes. A nod to a fellow friend and brewer who left us for hoppier pastures.

The Brewery

We remodeled our seven barrel custom brewhouse in early 2014 and began brewing our own beer again in June. The remodel streamlined our operations and improved consistency by increasing our ability to control temperature through the entire fermentation process.

Brewer Chris Spollen staring down the brew kettle. Head Brewer Chris Spollen, originally from Upstate New York, has been brewing professionally in the northwest for over 22 years. Starting at Rogue in Newport, OR in 1993 and then Amnesia in Portland. He has now brought his talent and creativity to Vancouver. Chris works hard to craft beers that are truly balanced. His favorite creation to date is our Imperial Brown Ale called the Big Newton. This big bold brown Ale brewed with figs, pairs well with food and could quite possibly become the next big thing.
