The Brewery

We remodeled our seven barrel custom brewhouse in early 2014 and began brewing our own beer again in June. The remodel streamlined our operations and improved consistency by increasing our ability to control temperature through the entire fermentation process.

Brewer Chris Spollen staring down the brew kettle

Head Brewer Chris Spollen, originally from Upstate New York, has been brewing professionally in the northwest for over 22 years. Starting at Rogue in Newport, OR in 1993 and then Amnesia in Portland. He has now brought his talent and creativity to Vancouver.

Chris works hard to craft beers that are truly balanced. His favorite creation to date is our Imperial Brown Ale called the Big Newton. This big bold brown Ale brewed with figs, pairs well with food and could quite possibly become the next big thing.

Brewed with Flaked Corn

Patio Pale 5% ABV | 32 IBU

Evergreen IPA 6.1% ABV | 55 IBU
This American style IPA is a reincarnation of the English version bumped up to NW Style, pale golden to reddish amber in color, aggressively hopped up to provide big herbal and citrus notes.

Rediculous Red Ale 6.7% ABV | 33 IBU
A classic red ale, true to style, exquisitely balanced, base and caramelized crystal malts are the canvas for the beautiful deep mahogany hue and toasty finish, Simcoe and Golding hops balance the sweet malt backbone with a light fruity flavor.

Nutorious F.I.G. Nut Brown Ale 6.2% ABV | 20 IBU
Brewed with Mission Figs

The Big Newton Imperial Brown Ale 7.7% ABV | 32 IBU
Appearance mesmerizes with a deep dark brown hue and a dark tan billowy head, special addition of figs not only adds a seductive nature but a wild twist on the brown ale, a style that is quite obscure these hop head days.

Transporter Porter 5.6% ABV | 34 IBU
The name is an inspiration from the porter style which was developed for London transportation workers in the 1700's. A rich combination of light and dark colored barley, including wheat malt, adds to the complex flavor profile. Mildly hopped with Simcoe and Goldings, compliment this robust style.
